The Tapestry Exhibtion at the Uffizi Gallery open until June 3, 2012 |

Their worst enemies are light, dust, insect and gravity deriving from being hung. In the past centuries, they decorated the bleak walls of the main Medici palaces in the city and of the villas in the surroundings with their stories woven with precious yarns. The first exhibition scheduled for Firenze 2012. Un Anno ad Arte (Florence 2012. A year under the aegis of Arts) is devoted to tapestries, extraordinary works of art. The exhibition is called The Tapestries Gallery – Epiphanies of Precious Fabrics and will be open until the 3rd June at the Uffizi Gallery.
