The 22nd National Congress of the Italian Society of Hospital Pharmacies will be held at the Fortezza da Basso from the 16th to the 19th October 2011. The event will focus on health technology innovation, a procedure which started many years ago and which is continually and rapidly evolving. Over 1,500 specialists are expected to attend this event. Technology will be discussed in all its possible meanings - first of all  therapeutic and diagnostic technologies normally used by the sector professionals, but also the deep process of modernization nowadays involving more and more facilities in the Italian Health Service.

The main objective of health service in general, and of therapeutic performances in particular, is always that of paying the utmost attention to patients and their health. Among the aims of SIFO, born in 1952 and located in Milan, are the promotion and coordination of scientific, technical and administrative  activities of hospital pharmacies. Attention to work procedures and administrative criteria in favour of an increasingly efficient economy of hospital management is also crucial, as well as activating all those synergies and initiatives aiming at improving the ethic and cultural aspects of hospital pharmacists.
