The 28th National Congress of the Italian Society of General Medicine will be held at Palazzo dei Congressi from the 24th to the 26th November 2011. The event will see the participation of 1,200 specialists under the motto “Ready to Change – Quality, Equity and Sustainability as the Basis of Our Territorial Care”.This congress is the most important scientific and political meeting for the Italian General Medicine sector, offering great opportunities to interact on a national scale for all the sector representatives, such as specialists, university professionals, nurses, institutions and citizen representatives.

As usual, a  “Poster Session” will be on schedule, allowing the authors who exhibit their works to answer any possible questions from their colleagues. The SIMG (Società Italiana di Medicina Generale- Italian Society of General Medicine) is an independent association cooperating with public and private organizations, such as the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS – The leading technical and scientific public body of the Italian National Health Service), the Ministry of Health, the C.N.R. (The National Research Council) and the World Health Organization. This Society mainly promotes, enhances and supports the professional role of general medicine professionals, also encouraging clinical and epidemiologic research activities.
