STROKE 2012 will be held at Palazzo dei Congressi from the 15th to the 17th February, an event promoted by the Italian Stroke Forum, one of the most important cultural associations in Italy concerning cerebral stroke related problems. 800 participants from all over Italy are expected to attend this event.

Stroke is Italy’s third leading cause of death, as well as the main cause for infirmity in aged patients. Therefore, the best way to reduce mortality and infirmity deriving from this disease is to promote a scientific culture along with an appropriate education.

STROKE 2012 represents one of the most important events for all those who want to give their contribution – either directly or indirectly - in order to reduce mortality and infirmity related to this disease also through prevention and rehabilitation. This multi-disciplinary and multi-professional  approach will allow participants to interact and discuss a dynamic and highly qualified scientific programme. A session totally devoted to physiotherapists will take place on the 16^th February, sponsored by AIFI (the Italian Physiotherapists Association), featuring the participation of Antonio Bortone, Chairman of the association and host of this event.
